Small reproduction print of pretty shells from an original hand-coloured copperplate engraving for "A History of the Earth and Animated Nature" by Oliver Goldsmith (1728-1774), published circa 1774 by A. Fullerton & Company of Edinburgh and London.
This work was reissued over a period of over twenty years. The ongoing popularity of this work was attributable to the fine stylised hand-coloured illustrations.
