Reproduction print from a Giovanni-Battiste Ferrari hand-coloured etching of a botanical cross-section and seed-pod, "diatus et integer dimi seminis folliculus" from De Florum Cultura c1630 byJohann Friedrich Greuter (Strasbourg c1590 - Rome 1662). The image is in fine condition, reproducing paper appearance of early etching.
Original size of publication was 200 x 140mm. Size of this print is 300 x 215mm (11.3/4 x 8.1/2 inches) to border. Page is on light card. Size is 360 x 270mm (14.1/8 x 10.5/8 inches). The camera has distorted the shape of this image. Its sides are of course quite straight!
