A superb limited edition print (c1978) from a hand-coloured lithograph after the drawing by renowned Prussian bird artist Joseph Wolf (1820-99) for A Monograph of the Phasianidae (Family of Pheasants), one of the most spectacular ornithological works ever compiled, published circa 1870-72 by wealthy Curator of Zoology at the Field Museum of Chicago, Daniel Giraud Elliot (1835-1915).
