Elegant hand-coloured print from a fine engraving by Jacques Rigaud (1681-1754) and Bernard Baron, of a Rigaud perspective sketch of Stowe in Buckinghamshire, commissioned by head royal gardener Charles Bridgeman. The series of 16 views of Bridgeman’s landscape design were published posthumously circa 1739 by Bridgeman's wife, Sarah.
