Lovely antique print of Lyttelton, New Zealand, looking from the hill, over town and water circa 1888.

Original wood engraving circa 1888 (with later fine hand-colour), for Picturesque Atlas of Australasia which was published to commemorate one hundred years of settlement and development in Australia and the surrounding regions.

Size of image is 10 x 6.5 inches or 26 x 16cm. Mounted in 'antique white' rag mat conservation board,  and cellophaned for protection. The print is in good condition. Any distortion in this image is caused by the scanner. External size ready for framing is 15 x 11.5 inches or 39 x 29cm.
