Napoléon François Joseph Charles Bonaparte, (2 March 1811- 22 July 1832) was the son of Emperor Napoleon I and Marie Louise of Austria. (Napoleon divorced Josephine when she bore him no children.) Declared Prince Imperial of France and King of Rome since birth, young Napoleon Francois lived the rest of his life in Vienna after his father's removal from power. From the age of 7 he was granted the title of Franz, Duke of Reichstadt by the Austrian Emperor.

This is a charming copperplate engraving by Hopwood after a drawing by Marcke, printed by F. Chardou and published in Paris by Furne c1842 (with delicate later hand-colour).
