This original Pierre Brissaud pochoir was published in Paris for La Gazette du Bon Ton (Journal of Good Style), to illustrate the latest superior fashion, worn in an appropriate situation.

Original pochoir (French for stencil) coloured by watercolour, with different zinc stencils cut for each colour. Gazette du Bon Ton was the periodical for the well-to-do and reflected their way of life in the 1920s in Paris. Published by Lucien Vogel between 1912 and 1925, and distributed by Condé Nast.
