Pair of ornate frames with garlands and frames within.

Flemish architect and engraver Jean-Francois Deneufforge (1714-1791) studied engraving in Paris from around 1840. Original copperplate engraving (with later hand-colour), drawn and engraved by Deuneufforge for his huge "Basic Architectural Manual" Recueilélémentaire d'architecture, published in Paris between 1757 and 1768 “with the Privilege of the King” (Louis XV). A series on eighteenth century French architectural detail of both public and private buildings and other structures, Deneufforge included floor plans, facades, ceilings, walls, columns, and all aspects of interior decoration.

Page size is 39 x 26cm (15.1/2 x 10.1/4 inches). Measurement to plate mark is 360mm x 228mm (14.1/4 x 9 inches).
