Fine line and mezzotint engraving by Belgian master engraver, Joseph Franck (1825-1883) after Scottish artist, John Phillip, R.A. (1817-1867). Known as John 'Spanish' Phillip, Phillip was best known for his portrayals of Spanish life after his trip to Spain in 1851. This lovely engraving was published in London by Virtue and Company c.1867.
