Original colour-printed lithograph by Ellen Isham Schutt-Blackburn (1873-1955), published in New York in 1913 by The Sackett & Wilhelms Company, for the Yearbook of the United States Department of Agriculture. E.I. Schutt was an artist for the Division of Pomology from 1904 to 1914.

Before the widespread use of photography, artists were employed to create watercolours of edible agriculture. Between 1890 and 1916, chromolithographs were made from many of these to enable circulation of the images.
