Original copperplate engraving by Benard for the French edition of Cook's Voyages, published in Paris circa 1774 (with fine later hand-colour), after first appearing in the previous year in the English edition, "Anderson's Account of the Voyages of Captain Cook".

Page measures 265 x 215mm (10.3/8 x 8.3/8 inches). To plate mark measures 235 x 180 (9.1/4  x 7 inches).
