Fine antique print of elegantly grand building engraved c1757.

Original copperplate engraving by James Addison after the architectural drawings of British architect, Abraham Swan (fl. 1725-1768) for Swan's A Collection of Designs in Architecture. Swan wrote, "I have endeavoured all along to form such designs as are capable of receiving good Decorations."

This fine tall engraving, of an elegant front elevation and the building's floor plan, is a fitting pair to the next item. Both have been mounted in antique white conservation ragmat board, with line-washed mount around upper window. Backboard is fomecor, so that it is well presented and halfway framed.
