German antique map of New South Wales, with contemporary outlining of counties and coastline wash of the inset of Sydney and Darling Harbour c1874.

Original lithograph by F. Eitner, with contemporary country and state outlining by pen, and water colour-printed. Published in Glogau circa 1874 by Carl Flemming who founded an important German publishing house in Berlin and Glogau (now Poland). Geographical detail and discoveries are as recorded by eminent English geographer and cartographer, John Arrowsmith (1780-1873) who was from an English family of geographers, and joined his uncle Aaron Arrownsmith's London mapmaking business in 1810. 

This map has wide margins as published, but the map is too large for our scanner. Map size is 435 x 355mm.  If you would like further pictures, please email sales@antiqueprintclub.com.
