Hand-coloured reproduction of a fine engraving by Jacques Rigaud (1681-1754) and Bernard Baron, of a Rigaud perspective sketch of Stowe in Buckinghamshire, commissioned by head royal gardener Charles Bridgeman. (The 16 view series of Bridgeman’s landscape design at Stowe were published posthumously circa 1739 by Bridgeman's wife, Sarah.)
