Fine reproduction print from design by the architectural partnership of Percier et Fontaine. Charles Percier (1764-1838) and Pierre Francois Leonard Fontaine (1762-1853) met as architectural students in Paris, and then studied the art and architecture of classical antiquity inthe French Academy in Rome during the 1780s. They returned to Paris at the beginning of the French Revolution, and were appointed government architects by Napoleon in 1801, so much of their architecture and design can be found in Paris monuments of the Napoleonic period. Percier and Fontaine wrote numerous books on architecture and design.

Print measures 61.3 x 50.4cm (24.1/8 x 19.7/8 inches). There is very little margin at top and bottom of this print.
