Side view of Large Piranesi Vase or Urn (rust-coloured hand-colour).

Reproduction print of a rare etching on copperplate, from the workshop of Giovanni Battista Piranesi and son. Originally published in Rome between 1773 and 1777 for Piranesi's Vasi, Candelabri, Cippi y Sarcofagi... Piranesi was the finest etcher of his time. The three dimensional impression and depth of definition of his etching is fantastic.

This grand vase is also available hand-coloured in green moss tones, or uncoloured (as printed).
