Corinthian Column, Temple of the Winds. Basire reproduction.
by Basire, James
Corinthian style architecture. Hand-coloured Heritage Editions reproduction print.
Entablature, Capital, Column and Cross-section of classic ancient architecture, reproduced from a copperplate-engraved architectural design by James Basire. Originally published in London circa 1770. Classic Roman architecture print.
It would look great in a group of three with the Ionic Column and the Relief Carving of a Capital. This is a fine print on thick paper with a cream background. (There is a good margin all round and no irregularity of paper colour.)
Alternatively available hand-coloured with grey background, which is perhaps more compatible to background of Heritage Editions Piranesi Vases. (They look great in a group.)
Paper size 49 x 32cm (19.25 x 12.5 inches).
