This is a catalogue of all Prout's drawings in the national collection of the Victoria and Albert Museum, together with a list of his publications. 12 colour and around 100 black and white images from his sketches on site, his wonderful drawings in graphite, and his watercolours, romanticised Europe and were particularly appreciated by the non-travelling public. Many of Prout's images were finely engraved on steel (the medium of the day), and this enabled a much wider circulation of his work.

This is a lovely book of Samuel Prout's work.
