Fish of Hawaii booklet. Colourful small fold-out images.

The other fish illustrations are Alaihi (Holocentrus Diadema), Pakuikui (Teuthis Achilles), Pou (Cheilinus Bimaculatus), Lauhau (Chaetodon Setifer), Ulaula (Rooseveltia Brighami), Lauhau (Chaetodon Fremblii), Ohua (Stethojulis Albovittata), and Hinalea Iiwi (Gomphosus tricolor), as well as the rectangular trigger fish, Nkunuku (Baliscapus Aculeatus), known by the Hawaiians as Humuhumunukunukuapuaa which, until recently, was the "state fish of Hawaii". (Quite unpalatable, it was previously used by Hawaiians as fire-fodder. Although this fish is found elsewhere, more than 20% of Hawaiian reef fish are found nowhere else in the world).

Booklet with 10 concertina-foldout brightly-coloured images of fish, printed two-sides. The front cover is formatted for post, with lines for an address, and a picture of a Hawaiian fisherman. There is a flap extending from the top, intended to enclose an envelope, but the back page is absent.

The closed booklet measures 105 x 150mm (4.1/8 x 5.7/8 inches).
The edges of the cover are rather damaged but the fish images are quite crisp and clean - except for the first, "Octopus or Squid, The Aquarium, Honolulu", which has evidence of having been damp at some stage.
