Alexander Hood Viscount Bridport.

Original steel engraving circa 1856 by the famous Tallis publishing house, at the time of this publication called the London Printing & Publishing Company. Tallis were publishers of steel engravings of both maps and prints. They were renowned for the embellishment of the central subject by an intricately engraved border.

The hand-colour has been added at a later date, as this fine engraving was published in black & white.
The page size is: 27 x 18cm (10.1/2 x 7 inches).
