Original copperplate engraving c1810 after a drawing by Louis LaFitte, published in Paris between 1804 and 1816 for Les Fastes de la Nation Francaise (Annals of the French Nation) by Monsieur Ternisien d'Haudricourt. Illustrations and accompanying descriptions for this work were intended to perpetuate splendid military achievements, commendable actions by members of the Legion d'Honneur (Legion of Honour), and memorable acts of virtue during the French Revolution and the Napoleonic eras.

Beautifully engraved and composed (with fine late hand-colour) even the elegant title script adds to this stylish representation.

 Size of engraving is 4 x 5.5 inches (10 x 14 cm). Size of full page is 11 x 8 inches (28 x 20 cm).
