Antique print of Catherine Robaine, a 20 year old house servant, who released horses and livestock from the burning barn of Harmont Voinemont in a village near Nancy, and then found and rescued a child.

Original copperplate engraving after a drawing by Louis LaFitte, published in Paris circa 1810 for "Les Fastes de la Nation Francaise" (Annals of the French Nation) by Monsieur Ternisien d'Haudricourt. The wonderful engravings for this work were intended to perpetuate splendid military achievements, acts of virtue, and the exploits of members of the Legion d'Honneur (Legion of Honour). This was definitely an act of virtue.

Size of engraving is 4 x 5.5 inches (10 x 14 cm). Size of full page is 11 x 8 inches (28 x 20 cm).
