One of the finest engravings ever done of fish, the Tench from the same family as Bream.

Original hand-coloured copperplate engraving highlighted with gold and silver leaf by G. Bodenehr after the drawing by Kruger for “Allgemeine Naturgeschichte der Fische” (General Natural History of Fish) published in Berlin between 1785 and 1797 by German ichthyologist and physician, Marcus Elieser Bloch (1723-1799).
