Antique print of lady bugs or lady beetles, Chrysomela Coccinella engraving c1814, plate 13 from Entomology in "The Cyclopaedia; or, Universal Dictionary of Arts, Sciences and Literature” by Abraham Rees published between 1812 and 1820.

An original copperplate engraving, with later hand colour, published by Longman, Hurst, Rees, Orme & Brown of Paternoster Row, London. This work was by far the most extensive published in the 19th century. Consisting of seven volumes with over 240 copperplate engravings in each volume, illustrated with superb images, usually several to a page.
