Original steel engraving by E. Finden after a painting by T. Creswick, for The Ports, Harbours, Watering-Places, Fishing Villages, and other Picturesque Objects on the English Coast by William Finden (1787-1852), Edward Finden (1791-1857), and William Andrew Chatto (1799-1864); published in London by Charles Tilt, circa 1836-1838 with illustrations of views by W.H. Bartlett, J.D. Harding, T. Creswick, and others. These were fine scenes from the most famous coastal ports, inland river towns, and spa towns, with many important lighthouses and historic buildings and ruins.

This engraving has later fine hand-colour. There is slight soiling to this page, mainly along the right-top edge. The engraving measures approximately 122 x 180mm (4.3/4 x 7.1/8 inches), and page, 205 x 275mm (8 x 10.7/8 inches).
