Original copperplate engraving by Thomas Morris from a drawing made in October 1769 during Captain Cook's charting of New Zealand. Published in London by Alexander Hogg in George William Anderson's A New Authentic and Complete Account of Voyages Round the World, Undertaken and Performed by Royal Authority. Containing an Authentic, Entertaining, Full, and Complete History of Captain Cook's First, Second Third and Last Voyages Complete History of Captain Cook's First, Second and Third Voyages, between 1784 and 1786. This page has had a small hole repaired at some time (almost imperceptible at front), and also has evidence of previous cellotape at corners. It is still an important record of this scene. Page size is 230 x 385mm (9 x 13 inches)
