Original wood engraving published in London circa 1873 for "The Graphic", an illustrated weekly periodical that circulated news of the world. As this publication was published in monochrome, the hand-tinting with watercolour would have been done some time since. It certainly adds to the appeal. A lovely scene of the countryside, looking across towards the falls from the level of the top.

To assist its preservation, this print on fine paper has been conservation-mounted in antique white board, and covered with cellophane. The window of the image measures 19 x 24cm (7.1/2 x 9.1/2 inches). The external measurement of the mount is 35 x 34cm (13.3/4 x 13.3/8 inches).
