Fine original steel engraving by Samuel Bradshaw (1810-1888) from the drawing by James Howe Carse (also Carr) (1819-1900), for Edwin Carton Booth's Australia Illustrated, published in London by Virtue and Company circa 1874.

This engraving is in good condition, and is mounted between 'antique white' ragmat conservation board, decorated with a gold line around the image window. The fine-quality frame is a rich mahogany-coloured veneer over pine. Please request better image...

The external measurement of the frame is 37 x 42cm (approx. 14 1/2 x 16 1/2 inches). The engraving measures 12 x 19cm (4 3/4 x 7 1/2 inches).
