Victorian Rangers is an original wood engraving by artist and engraver, Paul Hermann Naumann, for The Illustrated London News published c1890 (with later hand-colour). This wonderful engraving (with the previous engraving, Victorian Cadets, was one of a pair of the Colonial Rifle Volunteers of Australia). It would have been half of a page of The Illustrated London News.

The scan is not very good. There are no thick horizontal wavy lines. They are the usual fine closely-engraved line of a wood engraving. The engraving measures 285mm x 200mm (11 1/4 x 7 7/8 inches).
