A wonderful group of wood engravings published in The Graphic in London on June 22, 1889. The Graphic periodical was an illustrated weekly newspaper that began production in 1869. The wood engraved illustrations were of the highest standard of any newspaper. Published in black and white, it was customary for the popular illustrations to be removed and hand-tinted with watercolour for further enjoyment.

This illustrated page has wide borders and measures 405 x 295mm (16 x 11.5 inches).
