Original steel engraving for Edwin Carton Booth's Australia illustrated with engravings from drawings by eminent English topographical artists, Skinner Prout, Nicholas Chevalier, James Charles (J.C.) Armytage and others, published in England circa 1874 by Virtue & Company. This engraving was done for a Frontispiece to this fascinating book of scenes in Australia in the mid-19th century after British settlement.

The page is in good condition. The engraving has fine later colour. The illustration only shows the engraved image on the lower half of the page. Page size is 215 x 270mm. (approx 8 1/2 x 10 5/8 inches).
