Wonderful original copperplate engraving by Morris for the publication of the voyages of Captain Cook. This engraving was for the larger edition published in London by Alexander Hogg circa 1784 as "A new, authentic, and complete collection of voyages round the world, undertaken by order of His present Majesty, for making new discoveries in geography, navigation, astronomy, &c. in the Southern and Northern Hemispheres, &c., &c., &c. 

This engraved page has good wide borders all round. Page measures 230 x 380mm (9.5 x 15 inches).

There is slight external age discolouration, but overall a very good engraving.
