Full page with text above and below this lovely original wood engraving (with later hand-colour). Published for La Mode Illustrée, Journal de la Famille a (Illustrated Fashion, Journal for the Family), an inexpensive periodical published in Paris towards the end of the 19th century to cater for the middle classes of France. Extensive description was included about each style and how it should be worn.
