Antique print of early 19th century English Fashions.

Original aquatint finished with watercolour by hand, for the popular English fashion journal La Belle Assemblée published in London circa 1828 by G.B. Whittaker. Despite the French title of this little book of fashion illustrations, this was not a French publication. La Belle Assemblee was named for its English publisher John Bell.

This exquisite engraving has faint soiling damage on the right and a narrow left margin. It has been mounted between antique white conservation ragmat boards and covered for protection until framed. 
Page size is 235 x 145mm (9.1/4 x 5.7/8 inches). To the border line measures 175 x 117mm (6.7/8 x 4.5/8 inches). The external measurement for frame window is 355 x 270mm (14 x 10 1/2 inches).
