Antique print of early 19th century English Fashion.

Original aquatint finished with watercolour by hand, for the popular English fashion journal La Belle Assemblee published in London circa 1828 by G.B. Whittaker. Despipte the French title of this little book of fashion illustrations, this was not a French publication. La Belle Assemblee was named for its English publisher John Bell.

This delightful engraving has faint soiling in border at top left, a tiny piece out of top right corner of the page, and a narrow right margin. It has been mounted between antique white conservation ragmat board and covered for protection  until framed.
Page size is 235 x 145mm (9.1/4 x 5.7/8 inches). To the border line measures 175 x 117mm (6.7/8 x 4.5/8 inches). External measurement for frame window is 350 x 270mm (13 3/4 x 10 5/8 inches).
