Friedrich Hottenroth lithograph of Fashion in the Middle Ages. France (End of 14th and Beginning of 15th Centuries) - with workers, royalty, priests, religious furnishings, artifacts, musical instruments, tools, weapons, armour, and knight on horseback.

Original lithographs printed in colour by Friedrich Hottenroth (1840-1917) for Costumes, House, Field and Military Equipment printed by M. Seeger, and published in Stuttgart between 1883 and 1886 by G. Weise. F. Hottenroth was an excellent painter and a true historian in the rendition of his subjects. This is a rarely-seen lithographic record of French Fashion in the Middle Ages.

Slight soiling along page edges. Page size is 280 x 215mm (11 x 8 1/2 inches). To border of image measures 24 x 27cm (9 3/8 x 6 5/8 inches).
