Large original copperplate engraving c1741 from A Prospect of Britain. Many of the major town panoramas of Samuel and Nathaniel Buck had text at their base, providing a description of the city and a key to the prospect or view, and beautifully attired upper-class people - appealing to the wealthy patrons. Much coveted, Bucks’ large panoramas are rarely found in such fine condition as this, with fine later colour.

Framed with decorated conservation mount and gilt-edged distressed timber frame to compliment the period of the work.
External frame measurement is 52.5 x 102.5cm.
