Antique Print of Vatican statue, Salustia Barbia Urbiana (wife of Roman Emperor Alecander Severus). Sotto nome di Venere Felice (Sallustia Orbiana is represented as "Under the name of happy Venus".

Fine original mezzotint and line engraving by Giuseppe Sforza Perini (1748 - after 1795), from the drawing by Vincenzo Dolcibene(1746-1820), for Il Museo Pio Clementino published in Rome circa 1784 by the conservator of the Capitoline Museum in the Vatican, Italian archaeologist Ennio Quirini Visconti (1751-1818), to illustrate Renaissance works and other fine antiquities on exhibit at the Museum of Sculpture established in 1771 by Pope Clement XIV (169-1774). Ennio worked as assistant to his Father Giovannit Battista Antonio Visconti (1722-1784), who was prefect of antiquities in Rome from 1768. Ennio completed this important work after his father's death.

External page measurement is 60cm x 43cm. Plate mark to 49.5cm x 32cm. This antique print of a superb classical study is in fine condition except for a few small soiling marks.
