Fine original hand-coloured stippled copperplate engravings by English portrait painter, John Samuel Agar (1773-1858) from the drawings by Edward Francis Burney for Forget Me Not, an anthology of poems relating to the months of the year. Agar exhibited at the Royal Academy, and was president of the Society of Engravers. These delicate engravings were published in London circa 1823 by Rudolf Ackermann.

They have been mounted between 'antique white' conservation ragmat mounts, with upper mount window embellished by a gold line. Framed in exquisite French gilded carved moulding, with U/V protective glass. Each page size is 13cm x 8cm. Each external frame size is 280 x 235mm (11 x 9 3/4 inches).

Hoping to keep them together, the set of 12 are offered at a greatly reduced total price (instead of being listed at a usually higher price for a set. They will look lovely hung together - but have not been hung yet... hence lack of collective picture! (Please be aware that some of the frames have slight imperfections from handling.) There will be an additional cost for shipment, so if you are in southern Queensland I would suggest pick up - or if the set are purchased together they can be delivered to Brisbane or Gold Coast region.
