Chloe Preston colour-printed lithograph for The Peek-a-Boo's Holiday, written by her brother Tom and published in London c.1912.  Chloe Preston was born in 1887 and grew up in a gentrified English country environment. Illustrations for the first Peek-a-Boo book were published in London in 1910.  The clear simple outlines and bright colours of her humorous images portray simple excursions and activities.  They remain favourites with children and adults alike.
