Exquisitely framed original hand-coloured stipple engraving by English portrait painter, John Samuel Agar (1773-1858) after Edward Francis Burney for Forget Me Not, an anthology of poems relating to the months of the year. Agar exhibited at the Royal Academy, and was president of the Society of Engravers. These exquisite little engravings were published in London circa 1823 by Rudolf Ackermann.

All12 small engravings are framed the same - mounted between 'antique white' conservation ragmat mounts, with upper mount window embellished by a gold line, with U/V protective glass and French gilt carved moulding. Each page size is 13cm x 8cm. Each external frame size is 280 x 235mm (11 x 9 3/4 inches).
