"It freezes hard, my child, come here.
And warm thy perish'd Hands, my dear,
While, on the hearth, fresh faggots raise

Finely framed original hand-coloured stipple engraving by English portrait painter, John Samuel Agar (1773-1858) after Edward Francis Burney for Forget Me Not, an anthology of poems relating to the months of the year. Agar exhibited at the Royal Academy, and was president of the Society of Engravers. These exquisite little engravings were published in London circa 1823 by Rudolf Ackermann.

The 12 will look wonderful hung together! The framed set is listed above the set, and is available -  only until the first single month is sold. The set is listed at a reduced total price to encourage keeping them together, and also to acknowledge the small defects from handling the frames.
The set of 12 small engravings are framed the same - mounted between 'antique white' conservation ragmat mounts, with upper mount window embellished by a gold line, with U/V protective glass and French gilt carved moulding. Very slight repair to corner of frame. Each page size is 13cm x 8cm. Each external frame size is 280 x 235mm (11 x 9 3/4 inches).
