Published in London by Longman, Hurst, Rees, Orme & Brown of Paternoster Row, London. This work was by far the greatest  ever encyclopaedic compendium of its day, completed in the early 19th century. Consisting of seven volumes with over 240 copperplate engravings in each volume, illustrated with superb images, which show the different families of subjects, several to a page.
