Amaranthus, beautiful hand-coloured copperplate engraving by J. Pass c1797, published by J. Wilkes in London.

Although the margin is somewhat damaged up to the intaglio impression, the image is clean except for age-discolouration of the page which is to be expected of images that are so old.

As you can see, the damaged edges would not intrude on the area that would be shown within a frame. Image size as shown is 24 x 18 cm (approximately 9.5 x 7 inches). It is a wonderful early engraving of the Amaranthus, but the price has been reduced in consideration of its condition.
