Hand-coloured original antique print. Trochilus minimus of South America, Jamaica and other West Indies islands, engraved by J. Le Keux for Zoological Lectures at the Royal Institution by botanist-zoologist George Shaw (1751-1813). Published in London by George Kearsley c1808 (later hand-colour).

Page size 22 x 13cm ( 8 5/8 x 5 1/8 inches). This lovely engraving has slight spotting and very faint offsetting from previous adjacent text.
