J.G. Keulemans sepia colour-printed lithograph for Ornithological Miscellany by George Dawson Rowley. JG Keulemans went from Holland to London in 1869 to gain more work in the field of bird illustration. He portrayed his subjects sympathetically and with scientific accuracy. John Gerrard Keulemans (1842-1912) was one of the finest bird artists of his time.

this is a double (folded) page, measuring 310 x 460 mm (12 1/4 x 18 1/8 inches). The printed area is 255 x 430 mm (10 x 17 inches). There is slight soiling of the page extremities and the left vertical edge of the lithographic plate has been smudged during printing.
