Antique Print of Pigeons.. Fine original hand-coloured copperplate engravings by Manceau after a drawing by Edouard Travies for 'Histoire Naturelle des Oiseaux' (Natural History of Birds), published in Paris circa 1833 by Bernard Germain Etienne de la Ville sur Illon, Comte de Lacepede (1756-1825).

Plate measure 245 x 160mm (9.6 x 6.25 inches). Finely engraved and hand-coloured, these plates always have slight soiling in our experience. Perhaps it is an indication of their popularity and handling.. Prices always reflect condition.
