Lovely White-fronted Goose antique print. 1/4 natural size.

Original colour-printed lithograph by the eminent bird illustrator and naturalist John Gerrard Keulemans (1842-1912) for The Indian Ducks and Their Allies published in London circa 1908 by E. C. Stuart Baker. In 1869 fellow ornithologist and colleague of John Gould, Richard Bowdler Sharp persuaded the well-travelled Dutchman J.G. Keulemans to move from where he was working in Brussels, to London which at that time the most important centre for grand publications with fine bird illustrations.

This lithograph is in fine condition except for a paper spot, top-left of illustration. It is printed on thick paper with a buff-coloured background.
