Original colour-printed lithograph by Louis Agassiz Fuertes for the Yearbook of the United States Department of Agriculture published in 1908. Born in Ithaca, New York, Louis Agassiz Fuertes(1874-1927) was an ornithologist, artist and illustrator. His work is considered to be some of the most accurate and natural depictions of birds.

This is a rare lithograph of male and femaile bird of prey with actual prey under the bird's tallons on a branch.
