Littlest Peek-a Boo and Puppy stranded on a sandbank. While building a sand castle, Peek a Boo did not see the tide coming in. Waiting for rescue.

Chloe Preston colour-printed lithograph for "The Peek-a-Boo's Holiday", written by her brother Tom and published in London circa 1912.  Chloe Preston was born in 1887 and grew up in a gentrified English country environment. Illustrations for her first book "The Peek-a-Boo's", were published in London in 1910.  The clear simple outlines and bright colours of her humorous images portray simple excursions and activities. They are enjoyed by children and adults alike.

Print size 215 x 330mm (8.5 x 13 inches) The shiny surface of this delightful image is very faintly rubbed.
